I just have to say quickly that this has been such a fun week in blog-land! My post on Tuesday, about my friend Sheri Hall the knitting queen, has broken my all-time record for hits in one day and blasted away my record for hits in a week! How fun is that?
I did not anticipate such excitement! My entire article even got the honor of being a full-page story in my local newspaper on Saturday!
I want to thank Sheri for her willingness to answer my long-winded questions and for allowing me to write up her story. I sincerely hope that she will get more business from this, and, if the hits to my blog are any indication, she will!
P.S. – One last thing: even if you don’t like the Academy Awards, or have strong feelings about rich celebrities receiving gift bags, the story isn’t really about all that. The story is about the success of a businesswoman who took a talent and made a career out of it by working her rear end off. And that is, in my opinion, a story worth reading.

Good for you Gretchen! c
Thanks! It’s been very fun!
Congrats, Gretchen! A win for everyone, all the way around!
Thank you – yes, mutual benefit is always a nice thing!
Gretchen, none of this surprises me. This was a well-written, interesting and quite timely story, surely marking it for great success in blog land. Congrats, also, on getting the story published in The Daily Globe. No surprise there either. Well done.
You are so kind – thanks. I hope that it’s been of benefit to The Globe, too. I’m about to watch the KSTP story now – I’m excited to see her on TV!
So glad for you and for Sherri, Gretchen!
Thank you! It will really be fun to see where she goes from here!
I’m so glad you had a great week of blogging because your friend so deserves to be acknowledged because she has a brilliant talent. As do you! I wasn’t able to watch the Oscar’s because they did put it on so late at night (started at 9.30pm here) but I thought Angie’s leg display was totally inappropriate and she should take a leaf out of Gweneth Paltrow’s book (who after all, is an ex of Brad’s!) xx
You are so kind! I wouldn’t have watched the Oscars either, it they were on that late! But yes, the leg thing was a bit odd. Lots of talk about it on facebook and such!
Congratulations! I’m not surprised, you are a talented writer and that was a very awesome article! I really enjoyed it and have now connected on Facebook and Twitter with Sheri:)
Awesome and thank you! It’s all been very fun – and fun too, to be back in closer contact with Sheri. She is a hilarious person.
