Okay, so I keep forgetting to post the link to my London story! I can’t post the actual story on here as it is owned by the Daily Globe.
So here you go: http://www.dglobe.com/content/london-calling-couple-spend-whirlwind-five-days-touring-city.
I hope you enjoy the read!

I thoroughly enjoyed your Globe story about your recent travels, Gretchen. You must have been thoroughly exhausted by the time you left London. What a wonderful trip for you and Colin.
I definitely was walking SLOWLY every evening from the Underground to the hotel! If we’d had more time we could have taken half a day off here and there to do more sedate activities but we didn’t want to waste our opportunities!!
Wonderful story and vacation! 🙂
Thank you! I think I like it even better than Paris!
Thanks, Gretchen. You had a wonderful trip! Love, Auntie Bets
Thanks, Aunt B!
You covered a lot of ground in 5 days, whew. Sounds like a splendid time Gretchen
It was indeed. Still didn’t see everything I wanted to, though!
What a great story, Gretchen. I loved reading all about your whirlwind tour of a city that is impossible to cover in such a short amount of time – but you did really, really well for the length of time you were there. I too, haven’t been to London for the longest time and mostly for the same reasons as you but for us it’s at least a 24-hour flight! But I have seen all the things you’ve mentioned except for the changing of the guard so I definitely need to go back. We’ve been having our own flutter with all things royal with William and Kate and George in town a week ago. I hope you’re recovering from your jet lag xx
Yes, how fun that you had them come visit in Australia! That wee George of theirs is adorable. Love his round cheeks! And yes, it sounds like you and I both need to go back to London to see the things we didn’t see the first time! But yes, at least the flight is only 7 hours for me!
This was great! What a pleasure to read over my morning coffee.
Thank you so much! You were up early today! Having to get up prior to 6:00am (which is bad enough) is anathema to me!!
Ah, yes. But I call myself The 4 A.M. Writer for a reason! 😉
Yeah, I was thinking that!!!! I WISH I could do that!
