Ok, I have to “reblog” this post because it is so marvelous. “Clyde of Mankato” is a fellow-Minnesotan. This post about a chaplain visit he made to a nursing home is full of humor, pathos, and humanity. I practically began weeping in the café as I read it. Luckily no one looked at me weirdly as my eyes were full, that’s for sure. Please read this and experience it with me. – Gretchen
I totally agree with Gretchen. I read Clyde’s piece several days ago and experienced a similar reaction to Gretchen’s. This Clyde can write. And if you have not read his work, you are missing out. He is one gifted Minnesota writer.
Oh dear. The challenges of being a preacher. And the ones in Norway don’t sound crash hot. I’m glad the preacher was able to get through the communion part despite the interjection xx
I know – what a hoot. I just loved the way he told the story – I could totally see it!
I should blog about the stories I heard about the pastors in Norway. Not thrilling images of pastors.
